How The Holocaust affected everyone
Most people think that The Holocaust only affected those that were part of it. Really it affected everyone. Many people have heard about Anne Frank. The famous little girl who went into hiding when The Holocaust started and stayed in hiding for a long time. Most people have read her book called "Anne Frank's Diary: The Diary of a Young Girl." It tells her story about what she thought about The Holocaust. Many Americans were also affected during The Holocaust. In this story a girl tells about her father's experience with The Holocaust. After The Holocaust many Jews decided to immigrate to America. They left behind their culture and heritage along with many other things. The Holocaust may have mostly affected the people who were a part of it but it also affected the children of people who did survive The Holocaust. In this article it explains how the traumatization could affect the children in many ways. They could have flashbacks and could start crying. They could remember those painful weeks or days. It mainly had an affect on the children whose parents did not survive. Just imagine life without your mother or father and knowing what happened to them and how they died. Waking up in the night screaming for your mom or dad but knowing they wont come. These are just a few affects of a The Holocaust on children of those who did not survive. The Holocaust affected everyone. Jews and non-Jews were affected. So were children, and people of other countries. The whole world was affected by what happened during that painful time.

What was the Holocaust?
What was the Holocaust? "Holocaust" is a word of Greek origin meaning "sacrifice by fire." It was the killing of Jews and many others by the Nazis. The Nazis were a group formed by a man named Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler and his group were known as the National Socialist Party, or Nazis. The Nazis came together in 1920. Adolf rose to power and took the Nazis with him. He was not considered a nice person because if he didn't like someone he wanted them dead. He really didn't like the Jews or anybody who wasn't of Aryan race. He believed that they were all trying to take over Germany. So he ordered to have their freedom taken away little at a time. He made the Jews wear the star of David on their clothes. He took away their transportation and shut down their shops. Eventually Hitler started to take them away from their homes and put them in ghettos and concentration camps. Ghettos were where they lived with a lot of other people until they were sent away or killed. Concentration camps were places where the Nazis sent the prisoners. The prisoners had to shave their heads and traded in their names for numbers. They were built all over Europe. The prisoners were poorly fed and so they were basically just bones. Almost six million Jews were killed. That's including men, women, and children of all ages. Sometimes when we think back to those times we are glad that it wasn't us but then we realize that if that wouldn't have happened then we wouldn't have learned from the mistakes that were made. So even though the Holocaust may seem like a bad thing it is history and as painful as it may be it deserves to be remembered in anyway possible.
Here are some pics of Holocaust memories

How do fights start between friends and how to stop them?
How do fights between friends start and how to stop them? There are many ways that fights can start one of the most common ways is lying. If one friend lies to another it can make that friend angry and may start a fight between those two friends. Stay true to your friends and try not to lie. This article tells you why friends fight sometimes and things about friendship that you may have never knew. Fights can start very easily if you don't watch what you say. A lot of times fights start because of secrets. This article explains how to keep secrets and even has tips on how to keep them. Fights can end in broken hearts or broken bones a lot of times but neither one is good. This poem and other poems on this page are about friendship and how to resolve a fight without breaking it up. Sometimes its just a misunderstanding between friends. One friend could have only heard part of what the other said and misunderstood it and went and told another friend. Thats called a rumor, a rumor is a story or statement in general circulation without confirmation or certainty as to facts also known as gossip. Heres an article on what gossip is and how to stop it before it starts. Fighting is never a good thing but when its between friends it is worse. Check out this book about friendship, it's the real deal! Friends know the most about you and can use stuff against you when they get mad so even though they may be your friends only tell your secrets to the one friends that you can trust the most. So even though fights may start they can be stopped.

New cool website on helping with conflict
I found a cool website on dealing with conflict and getting along with others. It has lots of bright colors that catch your attention. It has steps on how to get along with others. It uses words like BAM! to catch your attention into reading what it has to say. It says that taking deep breaths helps you to calm down after getting mad at someone. I found out new things like that if you stop conflict before it starts then it's NOT conflict at all. Also that everyone has different opinions on situations and that even if you don't feel that way doesn't mean that you have to start arguing about it. Problems are never fun. Lots of times, problems start when someone doesn't understand where another person is coming from so try and step into the other persons shoes and look at things from their point of view. Solving problems in the right way can help you get through them quickly and easily. Anyone can use this site because it can relate to anyone little kids will enjoy the use of not so many big words and lots of colors, teens will like it because of all of the eye catching words and colors, and adults will like it because of the help it gives you. Give it a try!

Co-existence Within Friends
As part of Team 3 I am excited to be blogging this year on the topic of co-existence. The community that I am doing this year is my group of friends. Some of my friends go to one school and some of them go to another school. As it may be with other groups of friends and thats a problem. My friends are all different from each other ,so sometimes they don't always get along. In my town their are many groups of friends. The jocks, cheerleaders, goths, preps, nerds, geeks, and many more but then you've got my group, the group of people who don't care about who they are they just wanna enjoy life and thats okay but they don't always like to get along with each other. We have a lot of people in our group. We don't have a leader or a manager or whatever you call them so sometimes things get out of control. Everyone does what they want. When we hangout , no matter what we do that day, it's like nothing else really matters it's just a fun time with our friends. Well at least most of the time.
